COVID POLICIES

Tauck's COVID-19 Requirements

Your health and safety remain our number one priority while you are traveling with us on Warsaw, Budapest, Vienna & Prague. The below travel requirements are mandated by the countries of Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, and the Czech Republic, and are applicable to all Tauck guests without exception:

  • Effective April 15, 2022, all Tauck guests age 12 and older must bring proof of COVID-19 vaccination, such as the CDC Vaccination Record Card, at all times while traveling with Tauck. If more than 270 days have passed since your final required dose of the initial vaccination series, you must show proof of having received a booster shot or proof of recovery from COVID-19 within 180 days of the start of your Tauck trip.  Although highly recommended, vaccination for minors under age 12 is not required by Tauck; however, if unvaccinated they must present a negative result from a PCR test taken within 3-days of departing for their Tauck trip. Antigen tests are also accepted as long as they are taken within 2-days of their departure.
  • We strongly encourage guests to check the requirements for any transit/layover destinations that will be part of your journey.

To ensure the safety of your fellow travelers and the communities we visit, all guests must follow health and safety protocols, such as wearing a mask, when necessitated by local health guidance or our supplier partners. Your Tauck Director will keep you informed of these local requirements.

Although not required by Tauck, many countries still require a pre-travel COVID-19 test.  It is important that you carefully check the most recent entry requirements (listed below) for your tour or cruise.

An excellent resource for entry requirements for non- U.S. travelers is the CIBT Entry Guide.

Poland and Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Czech Republic:

  • There are no specific Covid destination requirements for this tour.

Return to the United States:

  • Please note that effective Sunday, June 12th, the United States no longer requires a PCR or antigen test within 1 day of your return flight.

The final entry requirements will be clearly outlined in your Personal Travel Documents

From: Tom Sent: August 5, 2022 Subject: COVID Requires

Warren and Abbie,
I just talked to Tauck to verify a conflicting statement they had on the COVID notifications.

Tauck reported that the countries on our Warsaw trip do not have COVID requirements and the USA no long requires COVID testing, BUT Tauck, itself, still has a COVID requirement (see below).

Vaccination Requirement: All Tauck guests age 12 and older must be up to date with their vaccinations for Covid. If over 270 days have passed since your initial vaccination series, you must have a booster shot. No booster shot is required if you can show proof of having recovered from Covid within 180 days of travel.

There is no time limitation on the booster shot. I explained I received my two Moderna by Feb 2020 and my booster in Sep 2020. The Tauck Agent said, “I was good to go.” I suspect you all have something similar.

That is in addition to the Agreement.

Tauck Travel Agreements: Tauck requires all guests to sign a Travel Well Pledge and a Waiver of Liability for Covid-19. Your Tauck Director will provide these documents for your signature on the first day of your trip. Additional information on these agreements can be found here.
